Faith Leadership Programs

The mission of the The Bowen Center is to make Bowen theory and its applications as a resource to assist individuals, families, communities and organizations in addressing major life challenges through understanding and improving human relationships. Leaders of faith communities consistently discover that the theory offers perspectives that inform most every relationship and function in ministry: leadership, pastoral care, strategic planning, spiritual formation as well as understanding what develops the community of faith as a whole. As leaders understand and grow as members of their own family system they understand better the challenges faced by families within their community as well as tensions and conflicts in their communities and the broader society in which we live.

The Bowen Center has developed a variety of programs in order to make the resources of the Center and Bowen theory accessible to faith leaders. Faith leaders have regularly participated in each of the programs of the Bowen Center: the Postgraduate Program, Clinical Conferences and the Annual Symposium and the Spring Conference. In recent years specific programming has been developed to better serve those leading faith communities.
