    Scholarships for the Postgraduate Program

In 2006 a number of centers teaching Bowen theory throughout the United States established a fund to provide scholarships for participation in the Postgraduate Program.

The goal of the Scholarship Fund is to provide scholarships every year through donations by individuals and by the regional programs throughout the country.

Scholarships are awarded on the basis of:

    1. acceptance into the Postgraduate Program
    2. potential for leadership
    3. potential for developing of knowledge relevant to Bowen theory
    4. financial need and
    5. letter(s) of recommendation.

Please submit a letter of application for the scholarship together with the Postgraduate Program Application and mail it to:

    Dr. Anne McKnight
    Director: Postgraduate Program
The Bowen Center for the Study of the Family
4400 MacArthur Boulevard, NW, Suite 103
    Washington, DC 20007

The letter should outline evidence of potential for leadership, specific goals for learning and applying Bowen theory, and the basis for financial need.  Please include letter(s) of recommendation from individuals who best know your work.

The deadline for the scholarship application is June 24th. A committee of directors from regional programs will review applications. Dr. Robert Noone, chair of the committee, will notify applicants.

Please contact Dr. Anne McKnight with questions about the Postgraduate Program at 703-241-9172 or amcknight@thebowencenter.org.
