The 45th Annual Symposium will be held on
November 7-8, 2008 in Washington, DC at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. brochure

Distinguished Guest Lecturers are Dorothy L. Cheney, PhD and Robert M. Seyfarth, PhD. Dr. Cheney is a professor of biology and Dr. Seyfarth is a professor of psychology at the University of Pennsylvania. They are the authors of How Monkeys See the World and the recently published Baboon Metaphysics: The Evolution of a Social Mind, the fruit of fifteen years living with baboons in their native habitat.
Tickets are still available for the 45th Symposium Anniversary Banquet.
The evening's festivities will begin with a cocktail hour featuring a jazz trio, which will also play during dinner. The banquet will be a special celebration of the Symposium's anniversary. A retrospective slide show and a game to "test your Symposium memory" are planned. The evening promises to be an enjoyable and sometimes irreverent celebration of the Symposium's past and future.

Parking for the Symposium and the Clinical Conference
Hotel Parking is available. If you are attending Friday's banquet, please plan to use hotel parking or confirm that your garage remains open late. There are several different parking garages within blocks of the hotel. The two garages on Vermont Ave. off of K St. have early bird specials (in by 10 am). There are also two garages on L St. between 14th and 13th that are similarly priced. The hotel is also convenient to the McPherson Square and Farragut North metro stations. Please use the Metro's trip planner to find the best public transportation. Type in 14th & K Street NW as your "travel to" destination.

November Clinical Conference
Daniel V. Papero, PhD, MSW will present What is Emotional Reactivity? at the November 6, 2008 Clinical Conference. The conference will be held at the Symposium location, the Crown Plaza Hotel in Washington, DC.

The Thursday Professional Lecture Series is a free, monthly lecture series which is open to the public. It features historians, scientists, and clinicians. View/print brochure
